Seemed to join just to pick up chip with lebron, but has remained for many seasons after including some really poor ones for the team. Under trade speculation for most of that time too.

He's the classic good stats bad team guy. Never even made the playoffs unless he had a top 2 all time player on his team.
Could definitely add value to some teams, but his mental health issues are a put off. How LeBron won a title with a flat earther and someone who suffers panic attacks is an all time achievement.

Kevin love is similar to Lebron
Classic good stats on bad teams
Lebron has yet to accomplish anything without an all star roster team
Kevin and Lebron both play their best as a 2nd option

I'm not sure what people expected of him, really. He was never an elite player. Prime/peak KG missed the playoffs 3 years in a row before being bailed out by joining a super-team. So then what about someone like Love? Let's look at what Minnesota was doing with/without Love in his peak years:
2014: 39-38 w/Love (1-4 w/o)
2013: 9-9 w/Love (22-42 w/o)
2012: 24-31 w/Love (2-9 w/o)
I'd say the problem with Love has always been injuries and mental health. That aside, he was a pretty solid player who, next to another solid player, would have easily made Minnesota a playoff contender. Minnesota is a pretty horrible franchise. If prime KG couldn't even lead them to the playoffs from 2005-07, then surely Love couldn't in his best years, as he's half the player KG was.

Kevin Love is such a wasted talent.
He should have been on a team with a good coach and strong team culture, like Mavs, Spurs, Heat.
He's pretty much a perfect complimentary piece to most modern superstars, but Lebron broke him.

This is why Iggy belongs in the Hall of Famer and BIll Walton is a top fifty player because they could have hung around a bottom feeding team and padding stats but they checked their egos and became 5 tool bench players. Kevin Love is a first ballot HOFer but he took the money and the responsibility of playing on a low level teams for his career.

love is to old to contribute to a championship team except maybe 10 minutes (he is to old and has injuries)
He is riding his career out collecting money.

I think he can contribute. He put up 14/7/2 on 59% TS% in just 23 mpg this year. That's 22/11/4 PER 36. I don't think he'd manage playing 36 mpg, but I do think he's a great player off the bench or limited time starting.

I have Kevin Love on MyLeague team in NBA2K.
He is the second highest scorer after Luka, but Alperen Sengun is ready to claim his spot for next season.
