TLDR: Jordan's fearlessness was contagious, so Paxson, Kerr and Kukoc always made their winners, while Korver, Marshall and G Hill followed their scared leader and bricked

Won't even ask the most obvious question of why you'd compare a 2 year sample to 10 year samples like that's suitable. Instead I'll ask what you got in your cup right now?

Jordan had 76 points in clutch time for the 98' Playoffs - let's compare to Lebron:

2006 - 55 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2005-06&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2007 - 58 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2006-07&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2008 - 21 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2007-08&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2009 - 10 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2008-09&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2010 - 16 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2009-10&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2011 - 43 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2010-11&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals) (0 in Finals)
2012 - 46 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2011-12&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2013 - 37 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2012-13&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2014 - 24 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2013-14&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2015 - 40 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2014-15&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2016 - 18 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals) (kyrie 20)
2017 - 18 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2016-17&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
2018 - 47 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=2017-18&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)

1997 - 55 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)
1998 - 76 (https://stats.nba.com/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals)

So lebron played best in 06' and 07' when there was no expectations, and then 2018 when he had peak experience.. but he never won titles while carrying the clutch load like MJ because Lebron always had all-time scorers and elite 1st options at sidekick to nearly match his scoring in the playoffs or Finals..

Otoh, MJ had no help in the clutch because Pippen wasn't a go-to player - his clutch stats were worse than EVERYONE'S, including Kerr, Kukoc, Ostertag, Hornacek and many more.. He was near-last in clutch points.. Kukoc, Kerr and Paxson were actually the 2nd options in the clutch and 4th quarter

Btw, MJ had 30 clutch points in the 98' Finals and 8 for Pippen (behind Stockton, Russell and Longley)... And MJ had 23 clutch points in 1997 Finals while Pippen had 4 (behind Stockton, Hornacek, Morris and Kukoc)...

97' and 98' is the only confirmed data that we have for Jordan - that's when he was 34 and 35 years old - those years defeat any year from Lebron, as shown in previous post

Lebron was never as clutch as MJ - his efficiency and attempts in the clutch are on the Kobe/KD level and below MJ level

In 2006 he didn’t even have an extra series. Damn.

The Pistons were just a tad too classy and Cleveland had no other threat but I remember being pretty impressed. At that time I was a T-Mac guy and I remember thinking that Lebron was probably better. It hurt.

The 06' Playoffs is the best and most Jordan-like that he ever played - super-clutch

I remember thinking "this guy is clutch like MJ"... That turned out to be wrong obviously, but that first "no pressure" run fooled me and a lot of people

Btw, look at Zydrunas in 06' - his best season - 22 PER and the go-to option pick-n-pop.. 2x all star plus a 22/5/5 all-defender Hughes - that's a better cast than MJ had until 91' - this obvious STATISTICAL FACT

Don't make me compare 06' Zydrunas and 05' Hughes to 90' Pippen - they DESTROY him

Yea but Z was completely neutralized in that series against Detroit. I honestly think that Hughes playing a couple games without actually being able to play is what fvcked them up.
