Video Game LeBron. He was so fast, athletic, and great all around player. Put him in the 1990's and nobody is going to stop him.

What a beast of a legendary season that was.
37.39 PER in the playoffs. By far the highest ever for a playoff run that lasted more than 1 round. 3 rounds in 2009 LeBron's case. :applause:

Magic's loss as a massive favorite in 1990 is similar to Lebron's in 2009.
Both tried to be dominant scorers, but both lacked sufficient brand to carry the scoring load against a good team (too ball-dominant), so they lost as massive favorite.
They simply aren't elite scorers because they can't carry the scoring load with sufficient brand to beat good teams.
Since they can't carry the scoring load, they need all-time scorers at sidekick that can nearly match their scoring...
So they need more help than an off-ball expert like Curry - Curry can carry the scoring load with sufficient brand to beat good teams, so he can win with secondary producers at sidekick like Wiggins that average far less than the 1st option.

That comparison is kind of disrespectful to Magic....

Guys like Curry can give you a heavy dose of carry-job and it's still a great brand of ball that can beat Finals teams
Lebron and Magic can also carry the load, but only against lesser teams - against the top teams or Finals teams, their carry-jobs lack sufficient brand to win, even as the prohibitive favorite..
That's what we saw in 90' and 09' - 2 ball-dominators that couldn't carry the load with sufficient brand to win as the favorite.. That's why they need all-time scorers at sidekick that can nearly match their Finals scoring..
Otoh, guys like Curry can carry the scoring load with sufficient brand to beat Finals teams, so he can win with secondary producers at sidekick that average far less in the Finals (Wiggins, Pippen, Klay)

LeBron beat "brand" basketball in '13 and '16
He also lost to them. Not unlike anyone else, Larry Birds Celtics lost to Magics inferior style more than not....

Lebron lost with super-teams in 2011, 2014 and 2017 - the latter 2 were record blowout losses - no super-team should get blown away by record amount, which proves that Lebron has a shit brand of ball - literally the worst ever
People don't realize that weak brand of ball causes favored talent to underachieve - so when Lebron's preseason favorites (on paper, talent favorite) fell to Finals underdog or loser for 6 straight years (11-16'), we know it's due to garbage brand of ball that simply underachieves it's talent..
Lebron was the preseason favorite from 11-16', but bad brand of ball reduced them to underdog or loser every year, except the Ray Allen miracle.. Only a miracle stopped Lebron's talent favorite (preseason favorite) from falling to underdog or loser for 6 straight years.. That's how shitty his brand of ball is.. He also lost in 1st Round or lottery with the preseason favorite in 2021 and 2022 - goat underachevement due to shit brand of ball

Using 2017 against him is absurd. That was a goat team he lost to. Who cares?

Stop watching cable
Lebron is supposed to be better than Durant, while Kyrie and Curry are the same on the Finals level - Kyrie actually destroyed him the prior year
So this idea that the Cavs were vastly overmatched is revisionist history
Here's proof to jog your memory

Again, no super-team should lose by record amount, and Lebron did it twice - so it isn't just the Warriors - Lebron's weak brand of ball is susceptible to getting ragdolled by superior brands, like the ancient Spurs in 2014
