Apparently the Nuggets passed on re-signing Boogie over health concerns

So he's still technically a free agent.

What a pity, he was a great fit behind Joker, and if healthy probably would have had even more impact next year with more experience in the Denver lineup.

Apparently the Nuggets did sign DeAndre Jordan to backup Jokic. Which is a pretty significant downgrade over a healthy Cousins. But you have to figure if the Nuggets were concerned enough to pass on Cousins even in a backup role... there must be at least a bit of smoke to that fire.

Interesting to see if he gets picked up at some point or if his days are numbered.

Cousins played great against GS in the playoffs last year. Having him in that backup role is a huge asset. And if Joker has to miss any regular season time the transition to Cousins in the starting lineup would be seamless.

Jordan, meanwhile, is washed. I doubt there's anything he can give them that any rim runner in the G-league couldnt. I have a hard time seeing him making any tangible improvement to their "bench unit pick n roll offense." He's basically just a body out there. There's no way after Cousins play in the post season last year they just decided to gamble on DeAndre Jordan instead with no other factors involved.

Cousins in the starting line up is lottery. Ask the Kings. He's a 3rd center at best. Certainly not someone you want to have to ever count on.

There were other factors. They didn't like him taking anything but 3's when he's not even a very good shooter and they don't like a scrub getting a ton of T's like he is someone that should get respect from the refs. Can't imagine they like his D either
