Keep in mind these stats are based on your production relative to the rest of the league. There has literally never been an WNBA player who produced like MJ in terms of rate stats+efficiency. Looking at Jackson’s stats interesting how she was atrociously inefficient her first two years but then very efficient afterwards.

Comparing the NBA with the WNBA is obviously a very reasonable and logical thing to do. The two leagues are essentially the same in terms of competition and play, with basically all analysts and fans holding an equal reverence for both leagues. So it makes perfect sense to compare stats from both leagues and give them equal billing, we should do the same with the NBA & the NCAA, high school too.

The article went on to describe the event and the lady who set it, and referred only to the accomplishment as a “new world record.”
The article did not mention anything about it being a woman’s world record or the fact the men’s world record is nearly twice as heavy. It strictly stated that this woman set a new world record, period.
So, thats the state of journalism today.

It’s totally a valid league no disagreement there. It’s not the same as the NBA but if you want to watch a basketball game it can still be fun. Outside of a few years ago I never really have watched it tho.
