This is a real thing.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is pushing for children to carry a JR version of the Ar-15 to school every day.

https://twitter.com/RyanShead/status/1553176798044729344

The JR AR-15 is a real AR-15 that has been scaled down 80% for children to use.

:facepalm

These fools are terrified of kids learning that gays exist when some of them have 2 moms, but are okay with them taking an AR-15 to school. Recess should be fun!

The fact that MTG is taken seriously is crazy. I’m pro gun before anyone tries to claim I’m not. She’s still a lunatic.

Folks, here's your fellow Republican/Trumpeter Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom Trump is close with & praises publicly. Remember to vote these buffoons out of office in November.

Fantastic

Dracos should also be a viable option for them should they want to go red.

Someone should have taught op to use a gun when he was little he might have not turned out to be such a wuss.

Instead of learning to fight? :oldlol: :facepalm

I'd take your AR15 from you and beat you into a coma with it.

Idk what the big deal is. There are youth models in lots of types of firearms. I didn't click the links but MTG is doing a disservice to gun owners by putting this out there. She's a little nuts and by association youth model firearms will be deemed as such.

These don't shoot your typical AR ammo. They are rimfire 22s. OP isn't familiar with firearms so I don't blame him for not knowing what he's talking about. I have a 22LR full size AR I built up, it's all tacticooled out. Probably the funnest gun to shoot I own, they just need to a manufacturer to make a magazine that reliably feeds 22LR in a 22 AR action.

The entire premise of children carrying mini AR15s to school is insane. It's more than "a little nuts".

They are adult enough to listen to a teacher, and exclude the parent about what sexuality they want to pursue. They are adult enough to make medical decisions on their own at school without a parent's consent. Hmm maybe they should be able to decide for themselves if they need personal protection. I'm starting to come around on this idea of kids walking around with little rabbit rifles

My uncle said he used to bring his guns onto HS campus because there was a hunting club and it was allowed by teacher. This was in early 80 I think. Pretty sure it was like that in a lot of schools but school shootings didn't really become commonplace until the mid 90s.

Greene is talking about elementary school kids carrying mini-AR15s to school every day. That's completely different than a high school hunting club of students who could be of legal age. Students in those clubs wouldn't be carrying guns into the classroom anyway.

Imagine it being the norm for a 3rd grader to walk to school with an AR15. You think that is good idea?

We used to have guns in the school parking lot in the early 2000s. It was just show off the gun, not shoot up the school. But then again those were common sense times and not muh muh feelings doe.

My uncle said during hunting season he'd drive to school with a rifle in his rear window gun rack just to show off. And this was in the 80s, not a super long time ago.

I'm surprised you could have a gun in the parking lot in the early 2000s though. The Colombine shooting was in 1999 and there were several school shootings soon afterwards too I believe. That's when schools really started becoming paranoid. I remember the Colombine shooting all too well. So many idiots around here actually admired Eric and Dylan. There were obviously school shootings that happened in the past but when the massacre took place people acted like that was really the first big school shooting.

Atm you can make 80%+ of an AR-15 with an aluminum and plastic 3D printers. With these little "JR AR-15" .22s you could probably print out about 99% of it. If the barrel is plastic you might get 100 rounds out of it. Aluminum a lot more but it still won't last long. I'd imagine you'd still need to buy the springs and a hardened firing pin.

What an idiot... everyone knows that children should be carrying a full size AR-15s to school, not some gay knockoff.

If middle eastern kids can handle AKs (a heavier rifle with MUCH harder recoil (assuming its chambered in 7.62)), operating an AR-15 should be a cakewalk for american kids.

I have never heard of a printed gun using a plastic barrel. Maybe its possible for a plastic barrel to handle a cartridge like 22lr, but it probably wont be accurate for more than a couple shots (rifling grooves are not going to last very long inside a plastic barrel), and you would probably have to do your plinking very slowly or else your barrel is probably going to start melting.

With 22LR I'm seeing reports of polymer barrels falling apart at anywhere from 20-100 rounds with the rifling totally shot at half that. Needless to say it sounds extremely dangerous in any case. I don't think I'd have the balls to fire even one round out of a polymer barrel

ar-15 ?
Michels who is running for governor in Wisc. believes schools should allow guns.
He was born with a silver spoon and backed by Trump.
He calls out current gov - and (ex-teacher) as a professional politician, what should we call Michels?
A guy that never worked ?

Well he spent 12 years as an infantry officer for the Army as well as running the family business with his brother.

Your "teacher" only spent 2-3 years actually teaching. The rest of his life was as a school administrator, elected school official or politician. He's never had a private sector job in his entire adult life.
