Was because MJ was facing maximum defensive attention while outputting maximum offense. MJ had no one he could rely on. Had MJ even had one Marcus Smart he would have been in the conference finals

Marcus smart is going to take first round exit to NBA finals just by his addition?

Smart isn't that good.

Marcus smart just won dpoy and put up Pippen numbers. They wouldn’t be facing the one seed in the first round

That is an excuse. And it's the absolute worst excuse in basketball to say you shouldn't pass because you can't trust your teammates. No you have to include your teammates if you want your team to improve. It's not even debatable.

Playoffs

85-93' Jordan (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordami01.html#1985-1993-sum:playoffs_per_game)...... 35/7/7
06-14' Lebron (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html#2006-2014-sum:playoffs_per_game)...... 28/8/6

So Jordan passed better with less turnovers for the first 9 years of their playoff careers before Curry's pace and space era made offense easier for everyone.

That's the historical record.. This idea that he didn't pass is absurd - it's a false narrative used by shallower fans that can't see past his mesmerizing scoring

jordon couldn't even make it pas the first round* at the age of 24, let alone make it to the finals.
*The only reason he made it to the first round in each of those sub-.500 seasons at all is because he played in an era where a 30-52 record was enough for a playoff spot. In a normal era, he wouldn't have made the playoffs at the age of 24.

Which normal era had a team that didn't make the playoffs with 50 wins?

jordon was 25 when he made his first second round. With The Great Scott Pippen's arrival on the Bulls roster, of course.
