Past his prime, too. At the ages of 32, 33 and 34.

This astonishing feat may never get matched again.
What a friggin beast this guy was. Wherever he went, he instantly became the cornerstone of that team's defense. :applause:

.
Yet he finished behind the MJ every year in DPOY voting:

DPOY VOTING

1988.... MJ (1st).... Pip (none)
1989.... MJ (5th).... Pip (none)
1990.... MJ (5th).... Pip (none)
1991.... MJ (7th).... Pip (7th)
1992.... MJ (3rd).... Pip (3rd)
1993.... MJ (2nd)... Pip (none)
1996.... MJ (5th).... Pip (2nd)
1997.... MJ (5th).... Pip (4th)
1998.... MJ (4th).... Pip (9th)

Pippen was living off his "6 rings doh" reputation and didn't deserve all-defense those years

nor did he deserve All-NBA in 93' or 98' where he wasn't in the top 20 in anything like PER or WS/48

Another interesting side-fact is that in one of these 3 seasons, The Great Scott Pippen only played 44 out of 82 games, yet was still named to the all-defensive FIRST team.

But that's just how dominant he was. :applause:

I can't think of a player thar has more game saving defensive plays. Including the steal that ended the 97 NBA Finals

Op really hates the 90s, repeatedly keeps on telling that said decade is a weak era but praises pip too much even if he shone the most during that period. :kobe:

He’s just proving that Mo Williams would be the best 2nd option of the 90’s
