Kyrie told the Nets that he did not want to play back-to-backs and only play 3/4 of the season.

Kyrie Irving marches to the beat of his own drum.
Kyrie Irving recently signed on for one more year with the Brooklyn Nets. This was simply Kyrie exercising his player option, however, it was most certainly a compromise as Kyrie originally wanted a four-year deal to keep him with the team long term. Given his antics off the court, the Nets figured this would be a bad idea, and they never signed him to a new contract.
Since then, Kevin Durant has demanded a trade out of Brooklyn, while Kyrie is currently being shopped around. This is clearly not a great time to be Kyrie, especially since the rumors surrounding the star point guard are truly starting to get a bit out of hand.
One example of this comes from reporter Ric Bucher who offered some interesting insight into Kyrie's previous contract negotiations. As Bucher explains, Kyrie told the Nets that he did not want to play back-to-backs and that his demand was to only play three-quarters of the season. Kyrie didn't want to play more than 60 games, and understandably, the Nets did not go for that.
This idiot is making demands and he is a nobody in the league. Hasn't won shit but getting carried to deep playoff runs and never was able to lead anybody to anything. F*** Kyrie straight up. He needs to retire he is lucky he's getting paid millions acting like a DIVA.

He is now.
Nets put him on the market and "nobody" was interested.
The Lakers pretended to be, but only because LeDaddy wanted to give Ree the illusion of moral support.
Nobody else cared.

You gonna talk yourself into nobody wanting him right up until he’s a free agent and signs somewhere in the summer?
Not wanting to trade for him isn’t the same thing as him being a nobody. It’s entirely possible nobody trades for he or KD as difficult as they both are. Still aren’t nobodies.

He’s a part time player demanding a max contract. Even the Knicks didn’t touch that

The Lakers just put their 2027 and 2029 picks on the table for him too. Thought the lakers should have done that at the start of trade talks. Now I’m not even sure if it’s worth it for joining kyries one year circus. Dude is a headache. At least with Russ you know you’re getting a full season.

He basically doesn't give a ****.I wouldn't sign him for anything at this point but he's a megatalent so someone will. But this comment may have cost him a few more dollars in free agency.

LeKing literally took this guy to a championship, while nobody else can take him to the second round

Not sure if I believe this. Even if true there may be more to it. Ric Bucher seems to throw some questionable things out there from time to time.

Well LeCuck is only gonna be there 1 more year, so he will be expecting the Lakers to do it....
LeSelfish has always been about himself and nobody else
He will happily take a dump on the Laker fans and expect them to be miserable for the next decade, if it can squeeze him into the play-in with Kyrie next season

Some players like Kyrie, Kawhi and AD need load management
All 3 guys bring teams titles, so they're worth it

Irving helped the Cavs win one ring as the second-best player 6 years ago. He has not helped either of his last two teams get anywhere near that level, and one of those teams (Celtics) have been better without him. He is capable of clutch buckets but his presence doesn't guarantee a team anything.

The historical record shows that Kyrie is the difference-maker
He was ragdolling Giannis in 21' before the injury - so he was the difference-maker once again just like he brought the Cavs a title and would've taken the 18' Celtics to the Finals if not for injury
And Gordon Hayward cratered Tatum/Brown in 19', so he ruined that team - they saw 1-year drops across the board alongside Hayward before becoming stars in 20'

I'm sorry but how did the Celtics do versus the Bucks with Irving? I seem to recall a losing series. Blaming the lack of success in Boston on Hayward makes no sense and you only say it because of mental illness and agenda. May as well blame the lack of success in Brooklyn on Hayward as well

You can't refute anything because it's historical record
Hayward DID INFACT crater Tatum/Brown across the board in 2019 (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48)

I think this is Kyrie's way of threatening the Nets front office & upping his leverage. He wants to be out of there. I bet he ends up on the Lakers before the season starts.

I think this is Kyrie's way of threatening the Nets front office & upping his leverage. He wants to be out of there. I bet he ends up on the Lakers before the season starts. If he actually played 60 games that would be the most he's ever played for Brooklyn. He has no leverage and likely is going to be booed at home games before this is all over if he doesn't get dealt. Their "superteam" has left Brooklyn in a position where they may be capable of winning some games with a miserable cast of characters of they stay together and no benefit to trading everyone away and tanking because they don't own their own picks. All Irving can do is further damage his own reputation. Which he may not care about anymore. He had made enough money that he doesn't have to care and apparently doesn't.

This demand was allegedly made during his LAST negotiation, and it was rebuffed. The article is just pointing out what working with Kyrie is like for an organization.

He most likely can claim injury random days to make sure he doesn't play in back to back games but the 60 game demand p is truly funny to me. He hasn't played over 54 games in the last three years and the average is well below. If he played 60 games they would throw a parade.
