Best Buy has cut hundreds of store jobs across the United States in the past week, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, as the electronics retailer looks to reduce costs in the face of a demand slowdown.

That being said Best Buy isn't going to last forever. Brick and mortar businesses will continue to topple throughout our life times

I think Best Buy the company is doing okay. If you look into it their revenue is actually still very strong it's just all shifted to e-commerce so the need for retail stores is much less. Jobs have become obsolete to technology.

The jobs they cut are basically replaced by truck driver jobs.

Indeed it is. The last thing I want is for certain posters on this site to come on here and paint a rosy picture of the jobs report and the economy. I am amazed that this place still exists, it must be entirely propped up by boomers...

The last time I went to bestbuy (5+ years ago) I just needed a simple mini usb charging cable... and these blue shirt wearing **** only had 1 version of this cable in stock and they wanted $30 for it. I ended up buying one for $5 on amazon.
