^Draymond greens wedding.

Somewhere Jr Smith, Chris Webber, Birdman, Al Jefferson and a dozen other guys who had lesser weed suspensions are probably mildly annoyed too….even while feeling progress was made.

They still technically can’t use weed but the testing has been banned so…they kinda can I suppose?

I don’t care really just saying…careers were lost before this era.

Was Tyreke a weed one or something stronger? I don’t think they ever specified.

Huh??

Those full season suspensions never applied to marijuana. You got like five of six games for marijuana. Im pretty sure Sheed and Ruben Patterson and the like got a handful of them.

Indefinite bans like Birdman and Reke got were always for the heavier stuff, no?

Oj Mayo had both weed and pills contribute to his ban. I think the weed got him on a testing program he then failed because of pills but I’ll have to look into it again.

Larry Sanders I believe just chose to smoke instead of be in the nba at one point. Josh Gordon situation almost. He just wasn’t gonna stop.

Thats true, I guess in an indirect way it did kinda cost some guys their careers.

Altho you gotta figure if a guy was that wonky as to let his career get derailed by weed, he probably wasnt likely to have a long one anyway. Weed obsession was probably more a symptom of his troubles than the cause of it.

Tyreke Evans was definitely some hard stuff. You don't get 2 years for weed no matter what.

I am pretty sure the Birdman's was coke, and OJ Mayo I think were performance-enhancing drugs. Not sure but I would also say Tyreke's was coke also.

IIRC, Larry Sanders quit the NBA because he had made enough money and the game made him anxious (in a book it is claimed Jason Kidd was one of the reasons for him to retire after riding him too hard in practice. The book was released last year and it is about the 2019-2020 Brooklyn Nets, it is titles "Don't Knock the Hustle" or something to that effect).
