I have been an avid Jordan fan in the 90s. I probably have the biggest collection of Jordans on this site. Most can confirm. I actually dislike Lebron as a player. I don't like his left wing ideals or even believe him as the GOAT. However I dislike Jordan stans more than any other fanbase in all of sports. Way more than Lebronnies. Jordaneers are by far the most ignorant fanbase.

Our fan base went through some of the worst times imaginable and we stuck it out and watched, hoped, and prayed. We went all in hype on guys like Anthony Randolph because we were so starved for any type of good news. After all of this, watching them win a title was completely surreal. Then to keep going with the run they have had. It’s been nothing short of amazing. We stuck through a lot of bad times which made these good times all the more better. Me and my friends joke about how at this point if the Warriors never won anything ever again in our lives we could care less. We appreciate it greatly.

I’ve been a Warriors fan my entire life and watched them be stuck on an eternal treadmill at the bottom of the league under Chris Cohan, then watched them turn into one of the greatest dynasties of all time. Our fan base went through some of the worst times imaginable and we stuck it out and watched, hoped, and prayed. We went all in hype on guys like Anthony Randolph because we were so starved for any type of good news. After all of this, watching them win a title was completely surreal. Then to keep going with the run they have had. It’s been nothing short of amazing. We stuck through a lot of bad times which made these good times all the more better. Me and my friends joke about how at this point if the Warriors never won anything ever again in our lives we could care less. We appreciate it greatly.

So true. I just don't get being a fan of one certain guy, like when he retires, do they also retire from watching basketball? Or do they look for the next player to nut hug? You can't believe the joy of us long suffering Chicago fans when we got to witness one of the greatest SuperBowl winning teams in the '86 Bears, or watching the Bulls become a dynasty in the 90s, my beloved White Sox having one of the greatest baseball playoff runs (11-1) all time or the Blackhawks having their dynasty in the late 2000s early 2010s...we may not win a whole lot but when we do, we do it with style.

Different ways to enjoy the sport. A player only fan is the most pathetic thing but being a team only fan is barely any better. It's like people can't enjoy a sport without living vicariously. And if you exclude those two groups you're largely left with people who are focused on the gambling or fantasy point aspects of the sport. Two great teams playing great basketball is the least interesting thing to all these people. But whatever. Live and let live.

You can say, "I was simply stating fact", but I've never seen you say anything negative about Curry and the moment someone says something bad about him you throw a tantrum. You even disappeared from this forum after the Warriors WON game 5 of the Finals vs Boston simply because Curry had a bad game.

Being a fan of a team in a city you grew up or live in means you are part of a broader community. You suffer and celebrate with people who are otherwise complete strangers. I rooted for Jordan in the late 90s, then rooted for Shaq, then rooted for Kobe, then rooted for LeBron. So I bandwagon close to 11 championships. Sure the Cleveland fan that stuck with Cleveland for 50 years probably enjoyed 2016 more than I enjoyed any of the championships.... But that's a long ass time to wait around for ownership to get their act together. **** that, sports entertainment is what I'm here for.
