He needs to put some weight. I am a huge fan of Chet. But he needs to work out. and put some muscles.

Lot of guys in the league have missed this step and either become irrelevancies or never realized their potential, especially on the defensive end because of this.
TOO often it is said of bulking up in the gym "it will happen, don't have to worry about it". Famous last words. Sean Bradley, Manute Bol, Tayshaun Prince.
Whether Chet puts in the work or not is always a big question mark UNTIL it happens. Sorry just needed to say that given all the commentary I've heard that "it will happen" as though it were to be assumed.

Jordan was a 40-year old retired NBA player.
Lebron is a 37-year old current NBA player about to become the all-time leading scorer.

He barely had any, whereas Jordan smashed on every 7-footer in the league except Hakeem because Hakeem would always cower when MJ took off.. literally flinch and cover his head - this happened at least 4 times and I have them in gifs

Looks like possible torn ligament. So there you have it, our first injury prone star of the season. I’m sure many more are to follow.

Lmao, Bron is like 40 pounds heavier, plus an extra 10 pounds in his junk.
Ofc he doesnt get the same hang time MJ did. The fact hes even close, while having far more HUNG time, is whats so remarkable.

Im surprised the nba let’s those guys even play in the off-season pro ams and all. I know Jordan had to have a love of the game clause to let him play anywhere. Are guys now just doing whatever they feel with no penalty?

So we just gotta have guys restricted their whole career for fear of injury? Are these guys just not supposed to play basketball?

Should of been in the strength and conditioning room getting ready for the NBA. Never should of been playing in an exhibition game.

Tay was an all star tho. Chet needs to redefine how he thinks about basketball. You can't just go hard in every situation. He could have done something a lot more disruptive to LeBron without crazy jumping. What worries me is how thin his lower shin/ankle area is. His body is really weird.
Still, I think he can play in the NBA. Some people can't 'put in the work.' Not everyone is gonna take steroids either. Still, he needs to find his place and if that's high post then w/e.

If you slow it down and watch how he moves against LeBron, his foot plants are not very consistent at all. He gets his feet moving, but he's almost risking a twist with every step.

Im guessing the league sees it as a valuable marketing/promotional tool and decided it outweighs the cost of the occasional freak injury.
Which Im not sure I agree with or not, but I’m assuming that has to be their thought process. Otherwise it does seem silly to be letting guys play in the summer when they should probably be getting rest in between seasons.

Yea that’s kinda how it works at times. And I mean for a long long time. Babe Ruth got suspended for offseason baseball. Jordan had to have it in his contract that he was allowed to play anytime he wanted. Getting hurt playing on your own time can get your contract voided teams just usually don’t enforce it.
