According to the man that created and implemented the 2005 rule changes (Stu Jackson), the hands-off defense was designed to increase penetration, which would lead to drive-and-kick strategies and more threes.

He literally stated that this was the main objective of the rule changes.

So the 2005 rule changes spearheaded a natural evolution to the 3-point game, which Curry took advantage of.. goats gonna goat (#5 all-time goat)

That's a fact.. They wanted me but I decided to accept a much-higher paying finance job while I was in an MBA program at San Diego State

But all that aside, I dunked on Zach when he was a sophomore in HS and I was in college... And the Raj thing is just a standard size mismatch.. I'm too big for him on the post and have great hands/touch around the basket.. He would probably win the majority of 1-on-1 games but I would win some and it would be clear that he can't hold me down low.. In a fullcourt game, I wouldn't have the same success in iso situations because there's a lot of other factors... But in 1-on-1, I can do my thing and beat him in about 1/3 of games

You're right about Curry, but his 3-point volume might still be limited in previous eras because no one had conceived of the high screen roll yet.. A different game entirely

Not sure but it was the 90s. My little brothers friend stole it from my house but I never confronted him. It was a kid so **** it. Anyway….about 20 years later said kid shot and killed my then girlfriends little brothers best friend. A local crook with the unfortunate nickname of Murda man honcho. I don’t even remember his real name. But there are still stop signs in my old neighborhood with LLMMH(long live murder man honch) spray painted on it.

When I heard the guy had done it I quietly felt like “Yea…I can see that” and it was entirely due to him having stole porn from me in the 90s.

Granted…I stole my friends porn before that and I didn’t turn into a murderer. So maybe it’s a post hoc ergo thing but…I felt a moment of not…justice. But like “Yea I knew he was a piece of shit” and of course I had to keep quiet given the situation. But ISH is a safe space.

This is true. The 3PT revolution started around 2012. By the 2013 NBA Finals it was already a thing that was talked about with the Spurs shooting and the Heat shooting and pace and space and all of that. The Heat have a lot to do with why shooting became popular via their pace and space offense.

Steph jumped all over that movement and started firing away and in 2014 he became an All-Star for the first time. So Curry just took it from there and ran with it and here we are.
