Lera say you had all those guys going forward.
What would you expect to happen?
54 wins and a second round loss at some point?

Out of all of those guys, Ingram is the only player who has really thrived.
Ball turned out to be a solid player, but not as good as advertised. Randle had a disaster year with the Knicks. Russell is solid, still didn't live up to the hype. Nance is a mere role player, Clarkson is one-dimensional and inconsistent, & I hated how inconsistent Kuzma was at times.
Still worth trading some of those guys for AD which led to a chip.

So the farm to you is what?
A team that is gonna do what?
I don’t see them doing that much with a core like that.
And call the ring what you will every major sport in the world had some weird covid setup for its champion of that year. There’s a World Series winner from their bubble that was in Texas or Florida or wherever it was. The nfl with piped in crowd noise super zoomed in so you couldn’t see the empty stands. The condensed seasons world wide. Teams from Canada playing in Tampa. Amateur athletes of every kind on every level. Boxing and mma on islands and shit. Can’t throw out the hard earned victories of thousands of athletes because you don’t like who won in the NBA.
Everyone’s covid year banners will hang for all time next to all the rest. Sound like Shaq hating on Duncans 99 ring like he wasn’t out there trying to win it and getting knocked out.
Comes a point it’s just bitterness.

Where was that same energy from Lehaters when Bron was winning the most grueling and difficult NBA ring in history, 2020?

If that core is kept together they could peak at 3+ consecutive playoff appearances. I don't think anyone would honestly say that that is better than the ring plus playoff appearance that they have got so far but some jackass would no doubt claim that that would be better.

I think 54 wins is generous. Maybe if they get extremely lucky with injuries or something. Absolutely no shot at a title.
That’s more of a 49 win team to me.

So? They suck. Relatively speaking. They're not that great. The best one is Brandon Ingram and ... yeah .... he's not that great.

Get 3 three-point specialist that can also defend the perimeter.

The Lakers don't like to wait on development
But it's a great core if they had waited
2 elite scorers and many solid role players

2 elite scorers? YDK, yes, but you’re going to discredit anything you’ve said about scoring by saying any of the others are an ‘elite scorier’ :oldlol:

Ingram wasn’t going to thrive in LA with lewashed up there..
The rest of those are trash.. lakers knew what they were in for with mr glass street clothes.
The real bad move was westbrick

Even calling YDK an "elite" scorer isn't accurate. He's been in the league for six years and has never even averaged 25 ppg.

That's fine
1 elite scorer
Randle at 2nd option
And a bunch of awesome role players
A lot of title teams start out with much less
And remember that Kuzma was once a budding star
It's a great core for a bunch of 20 year olds

But then have much more.
Randle is one of those guys who isn't great at all but still needs the ball to be productive in any way. Not a championship recipe.
Kuzma was never a budding star. He was a budding decent player. And now he's a decent player.

They won a title...sorry they didn't start a dynasty but they don't have the talent for that. Lebron is old he can't carry average players to the finals year after year. These are the same fans that want Chris Paul to retire and they are happy when Utah blows up it's team. Boston made the finals and then were willing to trade it's best player. This whole destroy everything if you don't win it all in one year is a load of BS. We respect Dirk's organic ring because he spent 20 years with that team but then we fail to acknowledge the work that went into that. The stars/office/fans all have to concede that it's not a win one every year if you don't have the talent and opportunities to do so.

Kept most of them, developed them properly and see what happened...
But we all know LeEntitled only wants his ready made, cherry picked pieces...they were nothing but trade assets before he even walked through the door.
Fvcking cancerous piece of shit
Bubble awards don't count...he has dragged the franchise through the mud and ensured they'll suck for another decade

ball in N.O. had changed his shot , so their coaching staff as well as him , molded a player that is a top 5 PG in my opinion.
Lakers couldn't do it , and now Chicago is rep'n the awards.

Lakers fans were living in a different world where they thought those were players a team should build around. Smarter people knew better and used those players to git gud and win a chip.

Trading Ingram and Lonzo for AD back then was like if a team trade RJ Barrett and Gary Trent Jr for Joel Embiid today.

Unfortunately, similar to Jamison, Hughes, and many more high-producers, Kuzma saw a drop across the board alongside Lebron (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48)

Everything that happened counts. Alabamas title in a mostly empty arena counts. The World Series in the bubble counts. The thousands of athletes who worked their whole life to make that empty Olympics in creepy abandoned stadiums? All their medals count. Jimmy Butlers legendary performance counts. Everything that happened everywhere counts and not liking Lebron doesn’t change that. The world being weird for a couple years doesn’t mean it didn’t exist and history and records will not care where anything had to be played or how many fans were let in.
Every title ever won was better than being a middling team that might be the Utah jazz one day.

How do people who watched this happen act like it doesn’t count over Lebron James winning in the end?
https://youtu.be/zRe6f9ggG8k
I remember I was having a meal at some steak place and watching it half assed on a corner tv and he’s just raining. It gets to the end and a lot of us are paying attention then and I was thinking “He’s gonna make this game winner” and I think I mentioned it to my female friend who turned just in time to see the stepback and the men in the restaurant were all like “What the ****” and you could see confused women looking around wondering what had happened.
All that shit counts. They just had the two year anniversary of that game posted online. Luka had like 45/15/15 or something wild like that.
Shit will be in his career highlights when he retires…but it doesn’t count.
People really have to get over that shit.
Edit:
He had 43/17/13 as I should have seen in the video title.

Trade Westbrick, THT and a 2nd round pick for Beverley and Bogdan and send a 1st to the Pacers to get Buddy
The best they can do since Kyrie is unavailable
Bev
Reaves
Buddy
Bron
AD

I doubt the Jazz would elect to do this, but more importantly, the trade is actually not even POSSIBLE due to Westbrook's salary alone being well over Bojan and Bev's combined. You cant even make that deal without including THT and his extra 10 million a year.
Westbrook is basically unmovable, sadly.

What they should have done is not bet their entire future on AD, the most fragile player in the league. AD's as physically fragile as Lebron is mentally fragile.
