i grew up following mlb nba nhl nfl

for years it's been nba with up and down level of interest

basically just check in a little occasionally on other sports but nothing like i used to

maybe because i played basketball longer than any other sport although i really can't say for sure

was thinking about a story my dad once told me

about how he played maurice cheeks in a game of 1 v 1 back in the 80s at a playground

cheeks initially wasn't interested but i guess he decided what the hell

they just played up to 5

pretty sure he said it was 5-0

said cheeks was faster than anyone he'd ever played against

hockey is weird with the whole learning to ice skate thing which i never did

i remember playing on foot once but that was about it

nhl was interesting to me for about 5-10 years as a kid

football i played more but not with pads and not that much

lost strong interest in nfl about the same time i did nhl

baseball i was best at but it gets to a point when you realize it's basically over

mlb held my interest somewhat longer perhaps for that reason

basketball is good for exercise and easy to find people to play with or even practice by yourself

although i did stop with that but maybe i'll get back into it
