His shoe sales are in the shitter.
Guess Nike and Adidas were right knowing he wouldn't be marketable

He is marketable he’s just a bad business man compared to his peers. He’s literally the face of the league right now. How is he not marketable :oldlol:
He should have way Way more money than he has now. Way more

Took a risk with an unknown brand and put it on the map. Unlike LeCollude who needs to be on a predetermined favorite.

curry thread, yet gotta inject your Lebron-love huh lol
as for shoe legacies, it's MJ-one and LBJ-two...just like the GOAT bball rankings.

I hope more stars leave Nike for companies with better employee condition standards tbh. Good for Steph. But yeah, I never thought Steph was a very cool person compared to an alpha like LeBron. The shimmy...all that...gimme a break. The sales aren't surprising.

Uhhhhhh, he probably did it for the money, not because he thought it was cool. Just guessing.

Curry thought “under armor” was a literal thing, like a padded bulge in the shorts that would make him look competitive with LeBron’s natural one.
Once he realized his mistake I dont think he really cared about the shoes.

I see Under Armour everywhere and Curry is who I think of when I see it
i was wearing under armour stuff in like 2003 or 2004. i didn't care about brands. i got them because they were good quality and they were cheap. they had to be those things to compete as a "lesser" brand.
but now they've gotten more well-known (i wouldn't say popular), they're not great quality anymore and they're not cheap anymore neither so i stopped buying them a long time ago.
i couldn't care less if curry or whoever was representing them. lol

I've read before about how that meeting with Nike ended so badly. It made it clear that to Nike, he was just another NBA player that they would use to sell more overpriced shoes. With UA he got his own line of shoes and has some input into the design process. To some people, that would be more important that just signing for the most money possible.

Nike blew their meeting with Steph. Insulted him. Something about how they might have called him Seth or mispronounced his name in their pitch.

Yep, exactly. They put out good stuff 15 years ago. Now their gear is crap. Quality has gone way down.
