This is why he's so highly regarded amongst his peers, among other things.

That's straight jacket defense against peak Wade. He has probably been defended like that in his prime 2 or 3 times in his career. Now factor in all the tough shots Kobe hit, the work ethic and hunger that men respect.... Results in the top 3 nods given to him by them.

The crazy thing is that the refs accurately called a travel on wade at the end. If it was Barry, he would have got the foul whistle, but only if he were lucky enough to not have turned it over beforehand.

Furthermore, if LeBron had been listed as a G and not a F, he would've had around 15 all-defensive selections, to match his 13 All-NBA 1st team and 18 overall All-NBA selections.

Kobe was a lockdown man defender when he put the effort, just didn't have the consistency. Made many undeserving All-defensive teams, especially in his later years.

But I do remember him locking up Kyrie right before he tore his achilles, even at an old age he had that ability in spurts.
