Not many PF ever won DPOY. IIRC there's only a couple other than Giannis. Do you think it's fair to say Giannis is the best defensive PF of all time?

Either him, Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. And all 3 had their primes between 2003 and 2022.
These three sure did clean up nicely after the 90s, who had the worst defensive PF of all time (Charles Barkley).

I don't think so. He's good but I wouldn't say he's the best ever. As Im Still Ballin mentioned, many people had AD as a better defender than him before the injuries + late nights playing COD and drinking beer. I want to put Rodman over him tbh, although it's hard. Can you see Giannis guarding Shaq?

Rodman is most likely the only player in NBA history to have success defending both Shaq as well as Scottie Pippen. It's a level of versatility no one can match.
