"Chevy unveils an EV for the masses. GM revealed an all-electric 2024 Chevy Equinox that’ll be one of the most affordable EVs on the market, priced at around $30,000 (the average cost for an EV in July: $66,000). The Equinox is GM’s second best-selling vehicle behind the Chevy Silverado. In other EV news, Jeep unveiled four all-electric SUVs coming to a dirt road near you by 2025." - Morning Brew

Too much talk not enough action in the EV sector. I wouldn't hold my breath on any of these timelines or pricing just like I won't hold my breath on getting a $39.9k Cyber Truck with my $100 deposit :lol

I guarantee that this vehicle is going to suck ass unless you spent 50k+ on a high end trim package with plentiful options

I expect prices will go down any day now, that said people are currently paying 10K-20k over MSRP on shitty Korean electric cars... the demand for electric cars is miles greater than the supply right now.

I know a guy who bought the absolute base model Tesla 3 about 4 years ago for 35k, drove it for 4 years and put 70k miles on it, and a couple weeks ago he sold the car for 45k

Tesla can have a 25k car right now if they wanted to, but their demand is too much & manufacturing capability is not enough to meet it. They would also need to slash their massive profit margin, which is currently by far the highest in the car manufacturing sector. They are making a killing from each car they sell. If Tesla can get manufacturing capability up to say GM/Ford levels, they will be unstoppable.

I really want to see Toyota attempt an electric car with its manufacturing capability. Toyota or Honda. Their pricing model to go with quality is something I find appealing. Ford/GM are mehh in quality for the money you are spending.

You REALLY have to take up Patrick Chewing's offer to help you with your insult game. Like he told you, he's been doing it before you were even born, going all the way back to the early 2000s, and before.

Unfortunately it seems as though the Patrick Chewing's offer that I'm talking about was one of the dozens of comments that you got the mods to delete (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?506489-Should-the-Off-the-Court-and-Political-forum-be-remerged&p=14657329&viewfull=1#post14657329) across two threads. But it was part of this conversation (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?500024-Racist-joe-biden-s-ancestors-were-slave-owners&p=14657024&viewfull=1#post14657024).

Edit: I was close, it was in one of those two threads, but the comment came after the deletions. Here it goes (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?506489-Should-the-Off-the-Court-and-Political-forum-be-remerged&p=14657335&viewfull=1#post14657335).

You're truly unbelievable. Almost as unbelievable as Lebron23.

I don't know if it's a lack of self awareness. But you get called out, by Highwhey, of all people, for derailing threads by endlessly posting unrelated posts. (And lets not also forget that soon afterwards you got a mod to delete that post by Highwhey. As well as my posts, MfFonzworth's posts, and Patrick Chewing's.) But now, since you're a car enthusiast, just like Blade is a vaccine enthusiast, and this is a car related thread, you get butthurt when someone goes off topic.

So it's ok for you to go off topic, but when somebody goes of topic on a car related thread, it's not ok.

Typical woke radical leftist. Rule for the, but not for me

I appreciate your effort to make Axe not feel so alone when he's getting "bodied." Since Gohan decided not to. It's very kind.

And I appreciate that Axe hasn't, as far as I know, asked the mods to delete the posts.

Modern electric cars are so retardedly overpriced that I think I am going to have no choice but to sell my Tesla soon. From what I gather my car is currently worth at least 15k, possibly 20k more than what I bought it for 2 years ago, in spite of the fact that I have put 30k miles on it. While I love the Teslas lightning fast acceleration and the fact that I dont have to pay for gas, but I feel like I would be an idiot not to sell the only car in automotive history that has dramatically increased in value after driving off the dealer lot brand new... but I figure I can always just buy another electric car in the future when the supply catches up to demand and they arent selling for so much more than they are worth.
