Not from an "important moment" or "game changing event" type narrative. Just from a pure aesthetic, athleticism and grace stand point?
Discuss.

Nobody ever had the hang time MJ had. That's why he called AIR Jordan. GOAT layups (2nd and close Dr J)

Ever since his blatant robbery of Dominique Wilkins in the 1988 dunk contest, the overrating of "aesthetic", "grace" etc. value of jordon's plays has been exposed.
Just like how his "free throw line dunk" where he has nearly his entire foot over the line is hyped to the skies, whereas The Great Scott Pippen's free throw dunk where he clearly took off from further away than jordon is a mere footnote.

off topic but this is probably the sequence that got me in my biggest rage fit since starting to watch basketball. First Melo the idiot doesn't even try to set a screen for Rose (who was lighting the sixers up all game), then Porzingis airballs an open three and finally Melo doesn't even get a hand up to Mcconnell on defense. Just a perfect summarization of the Knicks 2016/17 "superteam"

This is really hard to say, because if you watch an NBA game a night you are going to see 10 unbelievable things a week.

I'm sure there are much better picks, but this was the first thing that came to mind from what I have watched live. That bank had to be deliberate.
If you don't remember this game, LeBron went on to foul out early in OT and Kyrie murdered the Wizards in the last few minutes for the W.

I get it. But, what I was trying to get at, is something deliberate, regardless of the moment - eg. a game winning bucket.
Even when describing that, you mentioned you don't know if Bron meant to go for the bank shot, etc. I think another one that sticks out in my head is this:

Amazing dribbling, quickness, razzle dazzle and amazing touch to wet a 3 pointer.

This was such a sick moment. Along with coming back down 3-1 against a 73-9 team, it truly embodies LeBron's never-give-up mentality.

Its easily one of the goat lay-ups. But the greatest play i've seen is Bird vs the Rockets in 81 the 20 foot shot missed shot and put back with the left hand behined the backboard.
