I already gave Florida the nod over California, I'm just saying that state isn't exactly the blueprint for homelessness. Even per capita #15 overall is still a poor spot. I don't know if Texas governor can pardon or excuse Florida governor, but DeSantis will probably get away with it. I don't know exactly how they calculate homelessness but I've been around and from what I've seen there aren't a lot of homeless migrants. Or maybe they're just in the shadows who knows. Certainly at night, from my experience there's mainly only black and white males probably due to their larger size and aggression (the street at night is like a jungle), other than prostitutes walking around under the protection of a pimp. I'm no fan of illegal aliens but I'll at least give them that

I already gave Florida the nod over California, I'm just saying that state isn't exactly the blueprint for homelessness. Even per capita #15 overall is still a poor spot. The reason NY and California have such high rates is the insane cost of living and not politics. This can be seen by the fact that Hawaii is #2 overall which has the highest cost of living in the US. Hawaii doesn't even have an immigrant problem to deal with.

Anywhere you have a very high cost of living you are going to have a high homeless rate simple as that.

Why isnt housing affordable for everyone in New York and California? Aren't blue states sanctuaries for the disenfranchised? Isnt that like their whole platform?

I don't know how you're ranking this issue as "the most" for them but the reason California and New York are unaffordable is because of the free market. Those places have very high demand. As opposed to Mississippi which has the lowest demand and also the lowest rate of homelessness.

Looking at that list of homeless rate, it is basically just a list of states by cost of living.

The bottom 3

Louisiana
Alabama

Immigration is a huge problem for the entire country, especially in Texas and the border states. What Florida is doing is helping Texas out with the genius idea of sending these migrants to Liberal strongholds so that they can deal with these people since they will do nothing to help the towns and cities who have to deal with it on a daily basis.
