Damn, imagine how soft you must be to sit out about half of your career games over an 11 season span in a league such as the one Giannis and Jokic are describing.

Fiba setting is a lot harder for superstars to dominate. Many factors lead to this such as smaller court, more physicality and lack of star whistles. These lead to more team oriented games where deeper squads usually win. In NBA playoffs having the best player in the court matters a lot more.

Luka also said this. Sad state of affairs in the soft NBA. That was heresy back in the day, European players were seen as soft in the 90s, Toni Kukoc got a lot of shit from PJax because of his lack of physical defense for his size.

NBA has expanded drastically, back in the 90's you didn't have foreign NBA superstars like you do today. Just teams that were weakened by expansion and a short 3 point line.

Where did they use the word "soft", OP?

Can't help but feel sorry for you at times. It's so pathetic and never funny at all. :facepalm

What does that have to do with Giannis, Jokic and Doncic saying the NBA is easier to score and that the Euroleague is a more physical game?

euro's are less talented , so they use their physical makeup to play the game... just look at rim protection and you will understand how that has expanded throughout the whole court

Is mike James from the Brooklyn nets still over there dominating and terrorizing the euro league? :oldlol:

ain’t he like the greatest scorer in your leagues history lol? Giannis and jokic favoring their home continent league, o what a shocker. Giannis is the same person who flip flops on who is the best player in the league every single week his words hold no weight.

Wrong as usual. James is nowhere near to being the greatest scorer in Euroleague and he sure as hell isn't terrorizing it. Euroleague and european basketball in general are far more enjoyable than this 3 point, no defence chuck fest gimmick that the NBA has turned into. You actually see some variance in how teams play and defence is allowed. No wonder that the recent Eurobasket was one of the best and most competitive tournaments of all time.

If that tournament is touted as so great, then the U.S. would send top players. Instead we send below avg. players cause zero ****s are given about it.

Not to say that the NBA isn't way softer now than in the 90s, but the Euro game has also come a long way.

It's hard to disagree that the Euro game is a better brand of ball right now. The NBA obviously still has better players though.

The NBA is not really a sports league in the old school sense.

It's not WWE either, but it's somewhere in between.

Basically, the NBA has changed the rules and the officiating to make certain players look much better than they are.

Combine that with the way superior production value (again like WWE), that makes these players look like superstars, while in reality, many are just very good role players in a competitive, physical setting. Examples would be Jason Tatum, Zach Levine, Demarcus Cousins etc, who were stars in NBA but flopped out in FIBA play.

Many NBA players are soft and drama prone and honestly are not very good at other things than shooting open 3 and making free throws.

NBA should let the defense camp in the paint again. That alone would be enough for me.
