That pick didn't even play the entire season they won a championship a couple years later.

that pick is a bust
Does that mean if Curry wins another ring with Wiseman playing a significant supporting role that Curry would have won with yet another player who was thought of as a bust?

Warriors' management and front office choosing to tank and Curry going out there and showing they didn't need to do that.
Legendary.

Curry doing things no other great has been able to do and we have posters saying he needs an extra All-NBA selection. What low IQ.

In addition to improving your star players' mileage and prolonging their careers, getting high draft picks is yet another advantage of skipping a season.
Plus you can develop the role players, effectively treating it like one long, 82 game preseason.
That's 3 advantages there.
And in the particular case of the 2019-20 Warriors, there are more like 4 advantages. Because they skipped the 2019-20 season, which had the shortest off-season rest (77 days) in the history of pro sports, helping their mileage even more than usual.
Therefore, it is only right that players with weak longevity and lower career totals get punished in all-time lists.

maybe bron should have skipped 2010 season instead of just quitting and faking an elbow injury vs the celtics so he didn’t get his shit pushed in by jason terry in the 2011 finals as he got outscored by him even after colluding with the 2nd and 4th highest per in the league. For reference that would be like if Jordon left the bulls to play with Magic Johnson and Hakeem Olajuwon only to choke and be outscored by John Starks in the NBA Finals.

jordon getting sonned by Nick Anderson in a playoff series would be like Cuckrry getting pocketed by D-league talent level Matthew Dellavedova in a finals game.
Wait a minute... Both of these actually happened!

Not playing may cause rust and the player to lose sharpness. Resting mostly helps older players. For players in the middle of their prime it is a wasted season.
The high draft pick didn't help win the most recent championship one iota since he didn't play a single game the entire season. His higher salary is still taking up cap space though.
Hard to develop role players meaningfully without the most important player there to develop chemistry.
Doing more in less time is considered better in virtually every field.
No top team goes into the season with the intention to tank. But Klay was injured, Durant left and Curry got blown out of the water and decided to quit, so the Warriors tanked because they knew Curry needed at least 4 all stars to be competitive.

Warriors had 4 36%+ 3pt shooters to Celtics none
Wiggins destroyed Tatum
So it was an unfair matchup
And warriors had the easiest path to a title ever... so the ring doesn't mean anything
Healthy Bucks would've stomped them

It's interesting how Curry's team supposedly always faced an easy path yet that path always has high seeds and First Team All-NBA stars. The 2022 Warriors went through the Western Conference 6th, 2nd, and 4th seeds and the Eastern Conference 2nd seed to win the championship. For comparison a certain inferior player went through the Western Conference 8th, 4th and 3rd seeds and the Eastern Conference 5th seed to win a championship yet I seldom hear anyone saying how weak a path that was and in truth it was probably one of the harder paths that inferior player has had on his way to a finals.

Avoided 2 best teams Sun's and Bucks lmfao!!!
And Nets who lost their 2nd option before the playoffs
These dudes know the ring is garbage which is why they desperately bring it up because they want praise but nobody's ever gonna give it

Maybe for like 5-10 games. After that, it becomes an advantage. An unfair one over players who have endured mileage during the time you were resting.

If they were the two best teams they would have been in the finals. Funny how a team assessed as having one of the greatest defenses of all-time gets knocked as an inferior team after Curry has a go at it. Fascinating.

Wiseman will likely develop like Jermaine O'Neal did entering in the league. Playing on a team with a set system that didn't need his skills. They obviously didn't intentionally tank. GS had an off year with injuries. It just happened to be the perfect storm.
