They beat the Warriors in 2017. Kyrie stayed with the Cavaliers. LeBron could have been a 6x NBA Champion

Of all the amazing things that can be said about LeBron and LeBron's career, the greatest testament to LeBron's greatness was the 2nd best player in the game (Durant) and the 3rd best player in the game (Curry) joining forces in 2016 just so they could beat him. That's how good LeBron was.

Three bad takes in one. You're really good at bad takes. One would have thought even some of the slower learners would have learned something the last year.

They didn't team up to beat the inferior player, they teamed up to beat the zebras and the system that forced them to compete against each other while another guy strolled through the weaker conference.

Any talk of weaker conference is irrelevant because LeBron beat the 73-9 Warriors in 2016.
Ultimately:
Durant lost to Curry in 2016.
Curry lost to LeBron in 2016.
Durant and Curry in 2016: "Damn, if this guy is so good to beat both of us individually, then the only way we stand a chance against him is if we join forces on an already stacked 73-9 team."

Anyone who defends Durant stacking himself on top of a 73-9 team even remotely is just plain not a fan of competitive basketball, and only wanted LeBron to lose no matter how unfair it looked.
We could've had some amazing, competitive basketball in those couple of seasons between the Cavs, Warriors and a third, separate superteam that was created by Durant. Instead, Durant went for the most surest, overkill championship in the history of the league. And looking at his Nets EPIC FAILURE with himself, Harden and Kyrie trio, you can see why he was scared to create a new team that wasn't already stacked like the 73-9 Warriors.

They may have won one in 2017 or 2018, but not both. They coasted and developed bad habits after that 2016 season. They were in the bottom half defensively after that and were one of the worst defensive teams in 2018.

IMO Lebron has shown he isn't a leader to keep his teams laser focused year after year, especially defensively - part of that is directly cause of him, who has consistently lost focus defensively in the back half of his career and doesn't take the regular season that seriously in general and part of that is cause he undermines coaches/GMs with alot of dramatic distractions and they basically have no choice but to bow down to him.

He has 4 championships, and thats probably the right amount even if KD never joined the Warriors. They win in either 2017 or 2018 but not both like I said, cause there's no way that that team was consistent/disciplined enough to pull off 3 straight. That's not even getting into the fact that we can't just assume an injury prone player like Kyrie would've stayed healthy both playoff runs if he came back to the Cavs - as it was he actually did miss the 2018 playoffs. Then there's 2020 which they probably don't win if it weren't for the bubble cause its not a coincidence that was the one year Lebron has played close to a full season since he joined the Lakers. And that's not even getting into if AD could've stayed healthy since its also probably not a coincidence that was the one year during that same time frame he played close to a full season.

Curry and the Warriors beat LeBron and the Cavaliers in 2015. Forgot or selective amnesia?

You mean like how he did to the Celtics and Spurs when he teamed up w Wade and Bosh? You're delusions are strong...

Not so definitive. 2016 was competitive and was a few plays away from going GS’s way.
