Well AD got LeBron into the playoffs in a Laker uniform, and a meaningless bubble chip. But, without him? Can’t escape the first round or can’t even make the playoffs. AD’s value is tremendous.

Please enlighten me on what AD did in his career before he played with LeBron

Got to the playoffs in a difficult conference, even as a young player. Challenged much superior teams, when of course he actually was healthy, which is an admitted issue.

But what’s that have to do with the following:

2019 Lakers - No Playoffs

Mutual sports agency manipulates AD into a trade to the Lakers.

2020 Lakers - Best Laker Season since Back to Back Champ Kobe Lakers. Delayed segmented season due to Covid, Mickey Mouse Championship. AD was the Lakers best player on both sides of the ball, the entire season and playoffs.

2021 Lakers - AD, even though only playing 36 games, and barely slipping into the playoffs has the Lakers up on the Suns in the first round 2 games to 1. He goes down with injury, Lakers immediately lose the next 3 straight games. Their opponent missing their best player as well (CP3)

2022 Lakers - Add former MVP and triple double champ and sure fire first ballot HOFer Russell Westbrook, only played 40 games and even with LeBron and Westbrook on the same team, don’t even make the playoffs and finish with a putrid 33-49 record.

A.D. being on the court at full health is clearly the reason the Lakers have been worth a damn the last 3 years. He was their best player when healthy in both sides of the ball.

Lol davis was said to be abdul jabbar during the 2020 disney bubble. But his usefulness as a player dropped tremendously after his team won the title that year. Wouldn't want to see him go to the bulls anymore if he doesn't make any significant efforts on returning back to that form.

It's not even debatable that no AD, no success out West...

Just like LeBarrys career...nothing without top tier help

So basically the point of this thread is

no AD, no playoffs

And no Lebron, no difference.

Imagine not understanding OPs point that Lebron has the unique ability to extract the absolute maximum production out of a teammate’s potential, but even he cant do it forever if the guy just aint built for it.

Imagine being so arrested mentally as to think thats some kind of weakness of Lebron.

I want you to seriously just imagine that for a moment.

Ill wait.

Imagine leading a SUPERTEAM to the LOTTERY.

No, seriously, just imagine it.

I'll wait while you're visualizing last season.
