Legalizing sex with children has been a project of the left since the 60s. You see this currently with the transgender movement. It's all centered around advancing the idea of 'child autonomy'. Once you grant children the ability to make adult decisions like seeking gender transition and hormones without parental consent, then the right for children to consent to sex with adults is just around the corner.
