Whatever Texas and Florida are doing, do that California and New York. You are increasing your homeless population like crazy while they are reducing it.
When I was a kid it used embarrassing to be homeless, or hell, even to use an EBT card at the check out line. Make America Great Again

I think this current generation likes being homeless. I think they call it freedom or something or van life

Yup. This is true.
I hired a 21 year old girl several years ago to work for me and she was exactly as you described. She bought an old used van with a bed and sink in it and then one day decided that she was going to leave and drive cross country to Seattle. And when she got what she wanted out of Seattle, she moved to Paris. I think it's kind of like the 60's coming back where people just migrated to other parts of the country and world with no care for work or settling down. I couldn't do it.

I actually think that's a really fun thing to do, and would do the same if I was 21. We are just getting old now I guess, or maybe we just have responsibilities and bills to pay, mouths to feed, etc. Unlike FascistRRR3, AlwaysWrongBladefd, and MorbidlyObeseAxe. And LowIQoffthecourt.
And can we stop making fun of Commiefornia? Yes, there are downwards trends from every angle that makes the state look bad. But the mountains, the weather, the beaches, the food! Also, I'm enjoying the increasing wealth gap for many reasons.

That's what 18-23 year olds should be doing if they aren't in school. See the country and world if you have the means. You'll likely not have another chance to do it for 40 more years. I don't have a problem with that but living and shitting on the street?
I have a plan. We'll take Central American migrants if they take our homeless

Central Americans are probably the hardest working group in the world. Trade our homeless and BLM for all of them.

While I don't agree with this generalization I do think my generation is more open to being homeless versus the older. When I lived in Portland I was pretty shocked seeing so many people my age or younger on the streets...

The above two posters are unemployed and live with their parents.
The poster above me is bedridden because he is extremely overweight.
