Luka’s usage kinda negates a lot of what most all stars would bring.

A Shawn Marion type allstar would be ideal but the Mavs dont have the pieces to get one anyway. They need to hope this is enough.

Funny enough he’s only coming off the bench because they promised McGee a starting role, but it looks like itll turn out perfect to stagger Wood’s minutes with Luka anyway.

Obviously it’s unlikely hes gonna shoot like this every night, but this is clearly what they brought him in for.

Yeah, they need to have him learn to play off ball so he doesnt get in the way when his teammates have it going - which is really the ideal way to play. Having a guy who can ‘take over’ is great but it should really be Plan B, not Plan A.

Watched the 4th quarter. Damion Lee had some big buckets, but the Suns sure had some balls to put him on Luka on that very last possession after Luka had an and-one play on him on the previous possession.
For some reason they kept putting Damion Lee on Luka even though Mikal Bridges was right there on the court.
CP3 was on the bench throughout the 4th, but I don't know if it was an injury or if he was benched out of pure suckage. His stat line seems to suggest the latter.
