Doc rivers is their coach. There’s your answer.

coaches are always suspects whether warranted or not

could be the owner wants thybulle to take less money since they couldn't come to an extension agreement

rivers says there is a pecking order and house is ahead of thybulle

the only semi-reasonable explanation is house is a better 3 point shooter but that's not a very convincing overall explanation

PJ Tucker takes some minutes too. Also thybulle is bad at offense.

tucker was playing over 30 minutes a game the first 3 games which at his age doesn't make a ton of sense and wasn't doing much

thybulle had a career high in ppg and true shooting percentage last year but i wouldn't claim he or house is good at offense

it's all somewhat mysterious to me

That team needs shooters to spread the floor. It becomes tight with Embiid in the paint and Harden attacking.

sure shooting helps any team but you don't need every player in your top 8 mpg guys to be an average or above 3 point shooter

Doc Rivers is awful.

Managed to ruin Chris Paul’s and Kawhi’s reputations on an impossibly small amount of time.

Embiid’s up next.

those 3 would make a great big 3 you can't really do much better all time

harrell played 11 minutes today but was playing 7 the first 3 games

since when is niang a better player

clearly the better outside shooter but it's a similar situation to thybulle having the reputation of being worthy of 20 plus minutes

14 guys have played for philly this year

thybulle is dead last in minutes per game

gotta laugh a little when you put it that way

PJ Tucker takes some minutes too. Also thybulle is bad at offense.

What has PJ Tucker proven recently that shows he deserves minutes? He's living off reputation at this point. Dude is constantly getting cooked on defense.

Who TF is playing backup center if not him?

Rivers is awful. This is a guy who insisted Avery le year away from China Bradley was playable.

No scout game at all. It’s why he was a terrible GM in LA. No idea how to evaluate talent.

embiid played 38 minutes

his fragility makes that questionable

you'd think harrell thybulle melton sounds like a nice bench component of an 8 man rotation with niang and house to provide shooting in spots

but what do i know

Hmm...

This has turned into an interesting one.

Thybulle is an idiot. He is clueless on offense, can't shoot for shit and generally is a liability on one end of the court.

The acquisition of House, Melton and Tucker had almost sealed his fate on this team.

So far this experiment has failed big time. Shit is quite comical, actually.

Looks like Doc might actually have to play him more now.

it's like making the all defense team doesn't even mean anything anymore

It sounds... okay.

Not really anything to write home about or that gives them some big advantage over what most other teams are fielding.

It's clear this is just not a championship contender. Going to the second round the last two years is no fluke. That's what they are. They're a second round team. This year maybe not even that.
