By far the least amount of deep talent of any position

Almost all of them were good players. On the other hand, most of the infamous NBA grocery baggers were shooting guards in the 90s.

Grant Hill was a way better player than Reggie Miller/Mitch Richmond/Latrell Sprewell/John Starks.

Kevin Garnett had a good 4 years at the position while being named an allstar twice and would have been 3x if not for the lockout.

SG was 100% worse. After Jordan, who would you even have as the 10 best SG's of that decade?

Drexler
Dumars
Petrovic
Sprewell
Richmond
Reggie
Hornacek
Majerle
Steve Smith

Unless I'm missing someone, that's weak AF :lol That group of SF's is definitely better.

In the top row there are 4 HOF and Glen Rice, who was multiple-times all-star and won the ring with the Lakers in 2000. The bottom row is not that good, though, but I think there are some players missing there (Larry Johnson, Tom Chambers or Jalen Rose, for example).

They were young but Pierce Carter and McGrady all played in the 90s.

Johnson was no 3. Would have thought of Rose as more of a guard though I guess he played the 3 as well. Chambers 3/4

Yeah, I honestly don't get the hate this group of players is getting. Are they as good as LeBron/KD/Kawhi? Obviously not :lol But Pippen, Hill, Wilkins & Mullin were all elite players for multiple years, while Rice, Schrempf & Kukoc were all good offensive players. Like I said before, SG was easily more pitiful.

1993 1st Round

Dominique........ 30 on 44%
Pippen............... 15 on 33%

1992 ESCF

X-Man................ 19 on 50%
Pippen............... 16 on 40%

1992 Finals

Drexler................ 25 on 43%
Pippen................ 21 on 50%

1996 ECF

Penny................. 25 on 46%
Pippen............... 19 on 50%

1996 Finals

Kemp ................ 23 on 50%
Pippen............... 16 on 34%
Schrempf.......... 16 on 50%

Grant Hill..... 1997 First-Team All-NBA

TLDR: Pippen was an Iggy or Wiggins-caliber performer that was inflated by the winning spotlight into all-time status

Guys like Sean Elliott or Michael Finley were similar talents but never played alongside someone that could win 6 titles with them like Pippen enjoyed - Pippen was a system player and nothing outside the system

Grant Hill was a terrific player, everyone knows injuries really destroyed his career, same with Penny Hardaway.
