The NBA has become such an individual sport to fans that they believe 1 or 2 guys make up an entire roster.

With that said, the Nets should be better than their record right now just based off their 1-2 punch with KD & Kyrie BUT they are deeply flawed as a team.

- Their defense is horrific, even worse than last year despite adding Simmons.

- Steve Nash can't coach at this level. Players don't seem to respect him.

- KD/Kyrie are not natural leaders

- Simmons has been a disaster so far. Still playing scared like he did in Philly.

- They have no size, teams are destroying them on the boards

Even with Harden they were a juggernaut when they were all healthy. People forget just how good he was for the Nets in 2021. A Harden trade later on was necessary because he later turned on Kyrie/KD, but I never understood people who thought the Nets would get better by adding Simmons.

I will say, they are a better team without Simmons. Not because they won but because of how they moved the ball and defended. Played much more as a team. The Net's simply don't have the talent after KD and Kyrie. It's that simple. I said this months ago when they were signing all these clowns.
