I think in a way there was some relief on the part of MJ stains when Lebron passed him in 2016, that it was finally over and altho it would take some time getting used to MJ being #2, they would eventually adjust.

Problem is theres a good chance he’ll keep sliding.

Now, it does look like MJ narrowly avoids getting eclipsed by Lebron’s early wave of disciples, guys like Durant and Leonard. Injuries and weirdness ultimately kept them from having the kinds of careers they should have had.

But what about the current crop? Giannis? Luka? Zion? If these guys stay healthy theyve got a very good shot, since they play in a tougher era and none of them currently have a teammate ranked as highly as the Great Scott Pippen. So their road will be much harder and therefore more impressive.

The other issue is Lebron has two of his own LITERAL sires coming down the pipeline, and the chances of at least one of them eclipsing MJ is significant.

So in conclusion, MJ stains might wanna soak in his place in history now while they can. Because it will likely continue evolving, and not for the better.

Your thoughts?

No one will surpass MJ unless they turn an organization that never won into a dynasty by winning at least 4 series per year.
