Althoughs thought Derozan was a boderline hall of famer, now that he was scored 20,000 points, does that put him over the hump?

absolutely.

people aren't that intelligent. derozan was always hated for not being a good playoff player because hurr durr worst playoff plus minus hurr durr couldnt beat the cavs.

he got to us to our first conference finals ever. carried us to some of our best regular seasons ever. couldn't get over the hump against lebron but I dont put it all on demar. thats how you know he was our best player, we blamed it all on him.

playoff plus minus numbers are all BS because we forced him as a kid to carry us against veterans. the 2014 nets team we lost to had kg pierce joe johnson deron williams and other vets against a bunch of kids making the playoffs the first time. demar as a kid had lowry and jonas valanciunas who were playoff virgins. :oldlol: still took them to 7 and were one lay-up from beating them.

Show his accolades. Has he ever made an NBA first team? All defensive team? If he never wins a championship he’s gonna need some great personal accolades to get him into the HOF.

It’s not, but the HOF should really be reserved for the absolute best of the best.

He might not be first ballot but I think he'll eventually get in

Yeah I agree with this. I like DeRozan, but 20k points alone should put someone in the HoF.

his career isnt over. he already had one deep playoff run going to game 6 of the 2016 eastern conference finals losing to the eventual champs. that was our first conference finals ever, team was formed in 1995.

he already had more playoff success than a more naturally talented player in tmac. :confusedshrug:

T-Mac also won the scoring title twice and was on the all-nba first team twice. He was also a better player than DeRozan.

Like I said, DeMar is going to need to win a championship or earn some accolades to get him into the HOF. -I don’t think he’s ever made all nba first team. Never won a ring. Always been a good/great player but he’s not on McGradys level.

The fact this even needs to be asked shows how weak the standards for the basketball HOF are. DeRozan's been a good player for several years, but he is NOT a HOF player. HOF'ers should be the best that the league has to offer, and that's simply never been the case with DeRozan.

Not yet but he's quite a better player than d-rose ever was due to better longevity, that's for sure.

his career isnt over though. add another a few more seasons another deep playoff run and more all nba accolades and it will be hard to deny.

I was just bringing up tmac to make the point about accolades like championships and all nba and all defense, which is literally what that poster said.

demar will have a long career IMO. his game is built for it and he keeps improving. I dont think age will slow him down much.
