Mavs have the weirdest defense. It's like some kind of zone, but they're constantly getting beat, recovering and spend most possessions scrambling around like idiots. I do think it's on purpose though, but it must be exhausting and annoying.

I really dont see this as a good fit, personally.

Luka isnt a great off-ball player. And if you dont have Kyrie getting high usage on offense theres no point in putting him out there to get abused on defense.

And thats just the xs and os. Then you add all the risks youre taking with Kyrie’s antics and weirdness. He probably wouldnt even want to play with Luka anyway, I think theres a bit of an Isiah Thomas/Larry Bird vibe there.

Kyrie only makes sense as a hail mary play for some team that wont contend without a miracle.

Aka… The Lakers. I cant see him being worth the risk for any other team tbh.

On the contrary I think Kyrie would be a great fit, if he wants to play there and can be motivated.

Dinwiddie is essentially a poor mans Kyrie, exactly the same role.

Kyrie is also extremely efficient, doesn't overdribble or do dumb shit. When he feels it, he goes off, and if Lebron and Durant can't stop that, then Luka is no problem either

Simmons is the kind of player that would be the GOAT in a less athletic league like the chinese.

In the NBA I don't see a future for him with how he seems legit to have some kind of anxiety issue with shooting and even finishing.
