Respect to Orlando...

I mean, any given night anything can happen... but c'mon. We have to pick up those Ws. Our team is not looking elite, and we need to be more dominate if we are to expect getting past teams like GS and PHX.

Luka needs to be better at FTs... and have a little bit better shot selection.

We are trying to get Josh Green to fill in for some of the Brunson void.

Bullock and Hardaway need to start playing at a higher level... Get Davis Bertans back to full strength ... We need those 3 players to step up their game (especially shooting 3's) , and if we can do that... we can play at a Championship level (barely).

Make a mid-season trade if we don't think this team has what it takes to win a ring. We don't have the luxury of waiting another year or two to finally decide that we want to start competing for rings with our MVP of the league.

Luka Dončić 23 $37,096,500 - $40,064,220 - $43,031,940 - $45,999,660 -$48,967,380

Spencer Dinwiddie 29 $20,171,427 - $21,028,570

Tim Hardaway Jr. 30 $19,602,273 - $17,897,728 - $16,193,183

Dāvis Bertāns 29 $16,000,000 - $17,000,000 - $16,000,000

Christian Wood 27 $14,317,459

Dorian Finney-Smith 29 $12,402,000 - $13,394,160 - $14,386,320 - $15,378,480

Dwight Powell 31 $11,080,125

Reggie Bullock 31 $10,012,800 - $10,489,600

Maxi Kleber 30 $9,000,000 - $11,000,000 -$11,000,000 - $11,000,000

JaVale McGee 34 $5,461,219 - $5,734,280 - $6,007,341

Josh Green 21 $3,098,400 - $4,765,339

Frank Ntilikina 24 $2,036,318

Facundo Campazzo 31 $1,836,090

Luka has bad body language recently.

I think it's because Mavs have changed their strategy to play him more off ball. He's sulking to show Kidd that they can't win without him dominating the ball.

Yes, this is what's happening.

But Luka would be right.

We need to play Luka-Ball straight up this year.

Just give him the ball and let him Quarterback this entire season.

And he'll lose as the favorite to a 1-star team in the playoffs like Lebron lost to Dwight... And kept losing until he formed super-teams..

Look - if Lebron's all-time talent can't win without super-teams, then why would Luka be any different?? That style imposes spot-up roles that stall young players, so it lacks the teammate development, fits and brand of ball to win organically

So the Mavs are smart to strive for the long-term sustainability of SUPERIOR STRATEGY - it requires the least talent and still works without the star

Luka got eliminated by the worst team in EuroBasket history

Unfortunately too many stars are more concerned (or at least equally concerned) with filling up their own stat sheet than with winning.

Give the Ball to Luka and everybody else needs to learn how to shoot 3's, play defense, and rebound.

Hardaway needs to be more of a consistent shooter... and he's not doing that just yet. He needs to be more dangerous from 3 and he's simply not an offensive threat atm. 32% FG is unacceptable.

The problem is that players like Bullock, DFS and THJ can't create on their own at all. They can't dribble and most of them suck at driving and finishing.

You could make them more productive, but that would require a faster ball moving scheme, like Warriors, Spurs, etc and Luka definitely doesn't want that and honestly it would be inefficient.

I like the inside-out game they're developing where Luka gets the ball already posted up, but it's not working very well. It's the right idea imo, but I don't think Luka feels it is necessary.

Luka shot 9 for 29.....

If I was his teammate I'd probably have to fight him after the game. No reason to chuck like that over and over again I don't care who you are

I don’t necessarily disagree in theory. But did you used to get pissed off when Kobe had his 11-34 games or whatever?

Because they happened..

Who you are DOES matter sometimes. He’s the guy who is winning them games and if he has an off shooting night...then that’s why there are 82.

Luka is either fatigued or sabotaging the team or both.

I personally think it's the latter.

Since they began playing with more movement and Luka more off the ball, he has had very poor language and has begun bitching at teammates. He's making a point that if he isn't allowed to dominate the ball, then his teammates can no longer be allowed to **** up either.

It's very childish.

I don't like when I see any player do it and not affect the game in other areas. Even when Kobe and MJ had horrible shooting nights, they grabbed boards (offensive rebounds) hustled on defense, dived for loose balls and deflections, etc. They affected the game in multiple dimensions that Luka simply can't or don't or refuses to try to do.

That's my biggest gripe with the way Luka plays. He doesn't have impact beyond what he provides on offense.

Yep. Same 'ol excuse that Bron Stans have been using for years. They're about to be on the other side of the fence once Luka fanboys become more pervasive in their excuses.
