Lebron considering learning to flop in order to get the calls he deserves

"I also would like for the whistle to be blown when I get hit," James said. "I looked at a lot of guys tonight shoot a lot of jump shots and they're going nine, 13 times to the free throw line.

"I got to learn how to flop or something. Seriously. I need to learn how to do that. Swipe my head back or do something to get to the free throw line because the 'I missed it' [he hears as an explanation from the referees] is getting too repetitive. It's three games straight of 'I missed it.'"


It's a really terrible look for the league that its best player may have to resort to flopping for once after a 20 year career of rugged, hard nosed basketball. He's been one of the very few players out there to resist the flopping trend of the last decade. How bout just giving him the calls he's earning by being aggressive??

The guys that take jumpers get fouled GETTING TO THEIR SPOT - expert jumpshooters just need to get to their spot, which defenders must stop and foul as a result.

Lebron's attack is more basic - just a rim attack that will always have incidental bumps.. Whereas a jumpshooter will get fouled more obviously on iso's trying to get to their spot for the pull-up
