For a guy who never made it into the 2nd round of the playoffs during his prime. Grant had plenty of commercials, and endorsements. Back in the 1990's I thought he was the 2nd coming of MJ.

I'm not totally sure what a Q-rating is by definition but I think Grant Hill was pinpointed early on to have a high potential Q-rating. He was a budding superstar, sure. But I'm also sure marketers seized upon this guy on account of his warm smile and comfort in front of the camera. The fact he had other "marketable" talents, like playing the piano, probably had execs drooling.

He played on some truly bad Piston teams. He was basically a more articulate and likable LeBron before LeBron.

He's a college educated version of Lebron.

I wish i could have seen a healthy and prime Grant Hill more years. He was a better ballhandling version of Lebron (without the physique ofcourse).
