Why does Siakam get this kind of hate? He was a key piece in the 2019 finals and won a title. In fact, the Raptors were 17-5 without Kawhi in 2019. Siakam put up 19/8/3/1/1 on 63% TS% in those games. He actually led them in scoring during that time.

In the finals he put up 20/8/4/1/1 on 56% TS%, including a 32/8/5 point performance on a ridiculous 14-17 shooting in game 1.

The next season, they had the second best record in the east and made it to the second round of the playoffs. 2021 was a bad year and then last season, they lost Lowry. Toronto still won 48 games and made it to the playoffs.

Siakam put up 23/7/6/1/1 on 57% TS% in the playoffs. And now this season he's playing well again, and at least has the Raptors at .500. No Kawhi, no Lowry. How many players would get these kinds of results after losing their #1 and #2 players/leaders?

He's not a superstar, but he's shown to rise to the occasion multiple times and has his team competitive. If Toronto had an elite star (like they did with Kawhi), they'd likely be ECF contenders every year.

Agreed with Siakam. He does a lot of things really well, particularly on offense, and he always seems to be in the mix when the ball is loose.

I’d honestly be comfortable saying he’s a top 20 guy in the league at this point.

Yea Gobert is hard to pick because he only has one weird ass fan I’m aware of. The most talk I’ve heard about Rudy in person was watching them lose that Clippers playoff game in a bar that was laughing about it. He doesn’t have what I’d call stans. He has one crazy guy. That isn’t enough to take the top spot.

That was two seasons ago and they got obliterated in that series. He’s currently averaging 6.2 PPG on 48.2 TS%. Superstar numbers!

That was in 2021 and he isn't any different today in terms of ability, just as you back then were not different in dismissing that same ability. He is playing 10 mpg so that he stays fit for the 2nd part of the season, you casual.
