I have never been "center left", I voted for Ralph Nader over Gore in 2000 and Jill Stein over Obama in 2012 :oldlol:
I considered myself to be pretty far left up until about 2016, when the dems cheated Bernie (for the first time) and started becoming woke and pro-war. I still hold a lot of far left views, especially on the economy, but unlike modern libtards I am able to see that the dem party is entirely captured by corporate interests, and would rather rig their own primary in favor of disgusting corrupt sociopaths like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, rather than risk the slight possibility that president Bernie would stop cucking to the dem establishment and attempt to reform our economic system in favor of the middle class.
Whether abortion supposedly helps or hurts the right is irrelevant, to me its a simple matter of right and wrong, and sacrificing a baby because its an inconvenience or an accident is just wrong. Anyway I dislike 95% of republicans so why should I care what helps or hurts them... The main reasons I seem to prefer republicans over dems is because the woke idiocy and endless gender/race nonsense is infuriating (especially in Portland where I live) and because the dems want to go to war with Russia and I am vehemently anti war.

That's a pretty sick angle to view it but most women who get abortions still go on to have children. Just not when they are jobless 20 year olds on drugs. That's why it is called Planned Parenthood.

The whole issue about abortion is sick. We will probably be looked back on by future generations as barbarians for it. But it is a freedom and we don't need any more people walking around on Earth as it is.
And yeah, the would be kids would probably end screwed up and in trouble. Republicans have the edge on HS dropouts (although Obama won 60% when he ran), Democrats have a lock on the people more inclined to criminal behavior and the mentally ill. Plus people tend to follow their parent's politics. Some of those kids would vote and they definitely ain't favoring Republicans. If it’s any consolation, neither party is ever “in power” for very long, and in reality the parties per se (and specifically the will of grassroots voters) are never in charge. The elite use the political system as a steering wheel, and sometimes they turn it right, and sometimes they turn it left. Different eras and circumstances require their own sets of adjustments and ultimately that’s what we get. Both sides have to put up with some things they dont like when the other side has office, but that would be the case even if democracy was real and not controlled by oligarchs. It’s great to support and be proactive about causes we believe in, but we also have to accept some things that arent as we think they should be. The good news is things tend toward correction. Nothing unsustainable lasts very long.

No way. 20% of all pregnancies are either miscarriages or still births. Fetuses die every 10 minutes by nature.
Aside from that in the future we will be editing our own DNA and bypassing nature completely. Ridding ourselves of cancerous genes and flaws.

Both have the same result. The fetus doesn't care if it was deliberate or not. Actually the fetus doesn't have any brain activity so it doesn't care about anything. That's why it's not a human yet. There is nothing in there. Abortion will always look barbaric to the low-IQ.

Let's keep it real. I'm for abortion but future generations will look beyond our current political climate and morality and see that abortion legality was pushed forward in order to rid ourselves of blacks, the retarded and genetically flawed. It's still doing a lot of that work today. I'm for abortion because of the current benefits and freedoms but I'm not stupid enough to ignore how we'll be judged by future generations

Disagree. Abortion will only be more readily available in the future and forcing women to have children will be the thing that is viewed as barbaric.
I suppose there will always be groups that oppose each other on this topic, but I definitely think it will lean more pro-choice over time.

Miscarriages and stillbirths are not the same as deliberately choosing to end the life of the baby inside of you. So yes, LDD is correct that future generations will probably look back in shame at us for this barbaric practice. You're somehow trying to perversely justify abortion by basically saying, "Well, babies die all the time for other reasons". The distinction people like you and people that support abortion just look away from is that killing a baby, a fetus, whatever you want to call it is the same as walking up to someone, pointing a gun to their head, and pulling the trigger. You are intentionally ending life.

No, most pro-choicers look at it from a scientific angle where a fetus is no different than your sperm. They are both living cells but neither have brain activity yet. they are both just empty vessels. This is why most abortion laws stop at 6 months, because that is when the fetus has brain activity and therefor an independent human life that is finally a separate from the mother.
Pro-lifers view it from a religious angle. That when the sperm and egg meet something magical happens. But that is not the reality of the situation.

Like you said society will become more accepting of abortion up until the point we have an alternative solution(we could create a whole other topic on what that might be), the generations just beyond that will understand why we insisted abortion be available to all women. Generations further along however, will probably look back on us as savages who couldn't control or sexual urges and had to chop up our babies in order to avoid having offspring we couldn't care for. And unlike many of us, they will have no problem in recognizing the racist roots of legal abortion.

I could agree on viewing it as harsh when an alternative comes about. But the rest nope.
Abortion is widely available in almost all of Europe, Australia, and China. Does it have racist roots in those places?
It's a first world thing, the absence of abortion is barbaric and 3d world.
If abortion were only accepted in Africa it could transform that continent completely.
And in the US the places that need abortion the most are the shittiest places in the country, the deep south. Maybe we should allow them to go to college and get an education instead of forcing them to have 3 kids in their 20s.

Yes. Racial grounds(e.g. a woman pregnant from a black or a Jew, or any Jewish woman I believe) were the only allowed reason for a legal abortion in Nazi Germany. Abortion is still technically illegal in Germany today

I think we agree on a lot of the same things. Only the people that can afford them should be allowed kids. The one, 2 or 3 child policy by China has never affected the rich and elites. They can have has many children as they want as the huge fines are easily paid. The poor and leeches on society should not be able to have lots of kids

The Republican idea of winning elections is to make it as hard as possible for folks to register and vote. We both know the reason for it. Low turnout historically favors Republicans and high turnout favors Democrats. Republicans have to make it hard to vote because with these sorts of turnouts in 2018, 2020 & 2022, Republicans are not winning elections without a significant change in party platform.
