The Kings look really impressive.
Ofc every team looks good on nights where they just cant miss a shot, but their ball movement and execution of sets looks really strong. And boy… this is the first Ive watched of Domantas ‘Big Bonis.’ He is a TECHNICIAN. Looks like the classic 90s post player with his moves, strength, and passes.
They do strike me as quite a small team overall, so I wasnt surprised to hear the announcers say they dont rank to well defensively so far. Obviously Mike Brown’s gonna do what he can about that, but I think most of it is just a problem inherent to the roster.
It’s an interesting team. Their record is getting better and better despite a couple buzzer beater losses on foul calls the NBA said were mistakes.
I dont see them as a factor in the postseason yet, but I could see them finishing surprisingly high in the regular season, a la Memphis last year. (Altho not as high as #2).

their offense is going stay really damn good though defense will prevent them from having a strong record. Sabonis is budget jokic and fox is looking like prime wall with a jumper and they fit really well together since sabonis is so versatile and skilled and fox can make jumpers this year. They have really good shooting around them too not just 3nD guys like say on dallas but guys who can score. Huerter can shoot like 45% this year from 3. Barnes has been shit but he and murray can get close to 40%. Have some shooters off the bench too.
A team like New Orleans has more talent ofc with 3-4 guys who can score well but dont fit very well and dont have nearly as much shooting or passing as sacramento. only cj and ingram can make 3's consistently and those 2 are your playmakers too but neither are good enough to be a lead playmaker while sacramento has 2. sacramento can have a better offense this year

Ironically, Myles Turner is the type of player they need. He's the type of player that I think would anchor the defense while not messing with things on offense too much. We know he and Sabonis work together effectively.

i disagree the fit on offense did not work in indiana, they had some decent talent around those 2 too but indiana always played like a .500 team when healthy. Turner on paper is a rim protector who can space but he's not really a floor spacer. Jaren jackson would be ideal but not happening ofc. An 3nD upgrade over barnes is likely the move to make and you stay an offense first team like a worse denver
