Even though the Nets lost, The Benjamin scored 20 points on 8/8 from the field. Over the past 6 games he's looked much better.
Is it safe to say The Benjamin has regained his confidence and is officially capable of averaging his peak numbers of 16/8/8 again?
Why hasn't this happened when the nets were under nash previously?

Nash sucked as a coach
He's been putting up his normal numbers lately yeah. I think he's back.

If he is playing up to potential why do they lose to Philly without Harden or Embiid? He can hit layups but is he defending at an elite level? Doing all he can as a rebounder?

Numbers aside, the main issue is the fear.
The fear of taking it to the rim and the fear of going to the free throw line.
Things were brewing a long time before he left Philly, but that playoff series against the Wizards destroyed him mentally.
When he gets to the same level as he was when he had 42 points playing center against the Jazz, then it will be a true return.
It seems physically he is back, but mentally is where the biggest questions have always been.

That was the best game of his career he's generally gonna give you around 16 PPG. Less now that he's playing with KD and Kyrie.

Yeah no doubt it was but the reason I used it as example was because he put the team on his back when Jo was out and wasn't scared of taking it in the paint with pressure, he was willing to be the guy.
That mentality is something that vanished from his head.
Even in Philadelphia earlier this week he had a decent 3 quarters, come the fourth he bricks two free throws, the crowd gets free chicken and he completely disappeared on offense the rest of the game in a Net's loss.
He is so far removed from moments like this.
