He is in danger of being out of the running

Hmm the voters are desperate to give him the award this year. They skeet in their pants every morning they wake up thinking about the idea.

Generally people don't care about the issue right now in December but come February if the Mavs ain't a top seed or they look like they will struggle to get to 45 wins, things are gonna get interesting and things are definitely gonna get messy.

Honestly I dont think anyone catches Lebron at this point regardless. He would have to miss significantly more time to injury to fall out of the lead.

He’s gonna get the disrespectful 2006 Kobe treatment this year. His next best player is really a 6th man (Odom and Dimwiddie) … shame because he’s the smartest and most crafty and skillful player in the league offensively. Dog walking bruvas out there.

If Kemba can contribute and get him more off-ball that will help. As said above someone like Dimbwiddie can get 20 on any given night but he's not a legit 2nd/3rd/4th option on a contender. The good thing is there's alot of parity in the west between seeds 4-11 so it won't take much to get Dallas into a top 4 seed. Phoenix isn't really a cut above either despite leading the conference.

They need to make a move for Kyrie. Perfect fit too. Bail out ISO scorer bail out guy for a ball dominant scorer / facilitator megastar just as he did for LeBron, only Luka is equally as clutch and he doesn’t have to shoulder than entire burden like he did for LBJ. Can occasionally create for others. Can hit the jumper including on catch and shoot. Better fit than he has with KD who he is redundant with.

Luka is already a smarter and more coordinated offensive player than LeBron ever was, athleticism difference excluded. What’s he doing with the McHale esque post game mixed in backing guys down makes things so effective and efficient. Something LeBron never tried or couldn’t master.

His team is inconsistent all things considered.

One thing to consider is that once again the East is much weaker than the West.

That's my feeling... not so much based on number of wins but rather the seeding.

If Luka can't get a top 4 seed... maybe he should be out of the running for MVP.

Dimbwiddie is very skilled, but he is so obviously a 1-on-1 or 3-on-3 player that basically is not a team player at all.

Which is why he should be a 6th man only and also can close games.

Luka would be in the finals every year if he played in that shitty conference

I think if Devin Booker leads the Suns to a top seed three seasons in a row he should get it but we'll see the league loves giving white players MVP's
