Likely?
When?
Potential causes?
2024 election interference?

It's pretty remarkable the amount of tension that was present to cause our first civil war. As divided as we've been the last few years I can't imagine we're anywhere near that level despite what the trolls may make it seem like.

Good point.
Ray Dalio disagrees with you.
I have no idea but you raise a valid point about the extremity of civil war.

I might disagree with some posters on here but at no point do I feel like pulling out a rifle and shooting them over our differences...

No need for Civil War.
Just move the White Nationalist to Idaho.
They will eventually turn on each other.

Never. The country would just split and Texas would become its own entity.

The North and South were like two different entities back then. USA always had different state laws, but even more so back then because of how they got the economy to work. Since the North was more on industrial side, the south was more on the plantation and use slaves for it.
Nowadays, it's mostly rural vs big cities. Even Cali has massive differences if you go from North to South. And it's mostly the big cities vs rural. Texas too. If there was a civil war, it'll be within the states fighting among themselves. I would assume it isn't that serious.
The tension of the Civil War was crazy high. If the USA is fighting among itself, I would imagine it won't be fighting like that. It would be bricking, arguing, and a culture war. Like usual. We had congress literally try to beat each other up back in the day. We used to have duels. Compared to back then, we are good.

Even though Trump wants to put Blacks and Mexicans in 'their' place ...
our country is to big and powerful for a civil war.
But if you are talking about a bullet to the head of Trump - the likely hood of that occurring is probably pretty real.

I don't agree with a lot of your views but I agree with this. There are more things that unite us than divide but social media and the media in general just focuses on our differences.

Mexico already has a pretty good grip on Texas , so it's just a matter of time before Texas is a new providence of Mexico.
