Can you think of any players that aren't just better but play at a whole higher level when the game is on the line? At some point in the last few minutes tonight he went from being a reserve allstar to first team AllNBA. No one else is truly like that. Most clutch players are really just playing at their normal level even when the game is on the line. Butler is legit not just better but much better. Much respect to him for tonight's performance, last season's series, and just a career of being much better than he's supposed to be.
The Heat don’t feature him heavily unless it’s a close game late. So he has more energy than more heliocentric stars. I would personally use him more if I was coach though.

Yea the general idea of clutch is someone who doesn't crumble when the pressure is high but plays like they normally would. Butler almost seems to just not play as hard unless it's a big game or moment. I remember back in his early Chicago days he would step up and play Lebron really tough but then do like 15/5/4 against Charlotte or something.
It's like he requires a challenge to actually play. I honestly can't think of anyone who does that to the same degree.
Joe Johnson is someone who seemed to be better in crunchtime than any other.

We've seen Jimmy Buckets have these type of performances in Philly & Minnesota as well, the guy is unafraid of the moment,he'd be more dangerous if he had a better jumper.

I think Butler gets criminally underrated.
Off topic, but another interesting thing from tonight's game against the Celtics, the Heat had 4 players with 20+ points. Butler, Adebayo, Lowry, and Herro.

He always plays hard, he just isn't a naturally aggressive scorer. If Spo wanted him to shoot more he would.

Yea I phrased that wrong. He just doesn't look to take over unless it's necessary.
He's easily a top 7-8 player in the league when it comes down to it but he won't be half of the time in the regular season. Which is kind of strange.

Khris Middleton did it the year the Bucks won the title especially in Atlanta when Giannis went down for a bit. It actually somewhat shocked me because it was like he turned into KD and it was always the most insane turnout long 2 bail-out shots

Um...The Playoff Goat aka LeBron James. Duh.
You know, the guy with 6x 30.0 PER playoff runs thru the Finals when no one else has more than 2 and only two players have ever done it besides him (MJ & Shaq)? :lol

I understand that you have a pathological needed to mention James everywhere but as great as he has been on some of his playoff runs James is an example of a guy that normally performs at his normal level. His normal level is a top 3 player of all time, he deserves a ton of respect, etc. but it's not elevated far above his normal level like we've seen from Butler. That does not mean Butler is better. I would explain it further but you're a dumb **** and I've wasted enjoy time.
