To be fair though, Jordan was a FAR better pure scorer than Lebron ever was and never needed someone else to take over the game for him.

Looks like 3ball has a new alt.

But all the Bron stans making the same threads about him somehow isn't evidence of alt accounts. I guess it never occurs to you that not everyone is a fan of your hero.

An elite second option scorer wasn't as often needed then. Who was the elite second scoring options on the Pacers, Blazers, Knicks, Sonics, Jazz, Cavs, etc? And in most cases, the first option wasn't an elite scorer either. Magic wasn't, neither were players like Zo, or even Reggie.

Chicago usually had the best team and also had the best coach. That being said, MJ still managed to win with Pippen being injured and not producing in '96 and '98, so credit to him for that, but I doubt he would have gone 6-0 in the '90s had Pippen played that way every year.

:biggums:

Magic averaged 23.9 PPG on +6.4 rTS% at his best, and he was known as a guy who could have scored more than he did.

Yea, but the other guys could have scored more too. Any first option could given the opportunity. That doesn't make them "elite" scoring options. Kareem was a shell by '88 and retired after '89. Magic never replicated his 24 PPG in '87 after that.

Jordan's teams actually did better the lesser he scored. I mean he never scored over 60 points again in the playoffs once the bulls started winning multiple postseason series once they got pippen to play with him.

Of course. Because his teams got better. Duh.

or passing

everyone else had teammates that could take over the passing with 10+ apg like KJ, Stockton, Tim Hardaway, Payton.. Pippen was the worst passer among 90's sidekicks along with worst efficiency, clutch or spacing

1993 Finals

41 ppg

91-93' Finals

36/7/8

91-93' Playoffs

34/7/7

The Bulls needed Jordan to be scoring champ and score GOAT amounts in the playoffs - they needed him to completely carry the scoring load (defeat maximum defensive attention)

Only MJ had to defeat max defensive attention for his entire career because his teammates had the lowest peaks (least game-planning required) of any sidekick in the league, or 3rd option, or 4th option and on down the line..

MJ carried bums that couldn't dominate, while everyone else had teammates that could dominate.

Obvious, Scottie is a sidekick

Wade, Bosh, Allen, Kyrie, AD are or were alpha superstar corner stones for franchises, respectably.
