We should just be thankful we got to watch a league in which rookies were usually ready to go and didn't need 2-3 years before they could contribute meaningfully.

It meant the league just had a higher floor and was more entertaining.

Zo was a great player, I think he'd be even better today because he was very mobile and intelligent. Back then he was a bit small for the giants in the post.

from what I remember he was really good as a freshman and struggled some the next two years playing next to Dikembe. Once Mutumbo was gone he had a great senior year

When both Pat and Zo were in college I loved watching them.
Ewing surprised the shit out of me when he was a scoring machine , IN THE NBA.
