The West is wide open this year and theres no reason the Mavs cant make the Finals if they shore a few things up and get favorable post season matches. But I was disappointed with Doncic’s lack of leadership progress last night. I thought he moved the ball pretty well (for his standards) but he was still yelling at teammates and refs after his own obvious mistakes/turnovers/etc and deflecting blame, instead of taking accountability and just getting back to play defense. Im sure his teammates like him outside of the game, but I really sense theyre not thrilled by his diva antics and selfishness on the court.

Considering the level of play he’s capable of, the team’s morale should be a lot higher, the way Lebrons’ always were. He’s getting past the point of being able to use age as an excuse. He needs to be a better leader.
