In his career...yes, this season no. The media tends to hold off giving MVP's to players under 24 and in Zion's case he's going to have to be "in the mix" for another 2 years before he'll get serious consideration.
The Pelican's are very close to being a dynasty and this next draft pick might end up elevating them. Zion's range is Boozer (2 time NBA All-Star 10/10 career guy) to Shaq (the dominant player of his generation)

Well, the Pelicans are top seed...but if Brandon Ingram comes back healthy, he'll be sharing a lot of the load. It's tough to win an MVP when you have two all star caliber players on the team. But if he balls out for the rest of the season, I suppose it's possible.

Pelicans are a legitimate threat to come out of the West. I've been saying for a long time (and I'll stick by it) that I don't think they have to do very much to their team to be a perennial contender for the foreseeable future. They are very close if they don't **** something up royally or injuries don't decimate them. They have very few weaknesses, excellent coaching and some great, great roleplayers.
To answer the OP...yes, Zion can win MVP.

Not until Lebron retires. But at that point the award is wide open.
