I still think he still makes it in the NBA, and drafted at in the late 2nd round. He is averaging 19.4 ppg on 44.5 FG%, but his team record is 2-9.
Sucks he was hyped in his early teens and mid teens, but he never made an improvements in his game. his negative net wingspan is the reason.

Nah, the basketball recruiting industry just has a nasty habit of overrating kids when they're too young, then they're stuck trying to live up to the ghost of their alleged potential.
But Emoni's lack of great quickness/strength or explosive power make it so he's got no easy shots, but because of his still impressive size for a wing and he's a great shooter, he can still be a first rounder.

He is almost 19 years old. they projected him to be drafted at 52. Saw his game he is not a good defender, and just the guy who just loves to score.

They rate 12 year-olds. It's a bit insane. My sons are most likely never being pro athletes but just in case I've already decided to ignore any national publication bs until they at least reach high school.

If your sons are good enough we will get insecure threads from 3ball about them. Just imagine.

The pressure. Only few athletes lived up, and exceeded the hype

He doesn't have impressive size though. He's 6'9 but has a 2" negative wingspan/height ratio. Brandon Ingram is long as fck and has a standing reach close to Durant's and AD. Bates standing reach(estimated because he won't let anyone measure it) is around Klay Thompson's. Without an elite motor, strength, shooting or playmaking, Bates is a weak 6'9 player that's as long as the average 6'6/6'7 NBA player.
